The construction of today's church (there was one or the other predecessor church) began in 1894 and after the completion of the construction work in 1895 the new building was consecrated by the bishop of Mainz.
The purchases for the interior of the building took many years (e.g. 1900 the high altar, 1910 painting of the interior, 1913 electric lighting etc.)
