Enjoying the forests and the views? Now enjoy your way down, but DON'T MISS the turn to Huty - 600m ahead. Huty - lit. (glass)works, for the former main occupation of its inhabitants. The villages you will ride through - Huty, Borové, are good examples of local wooden architecture which survived until today. Vyšné Hutianské Pass is a border point between Orava (north) and Liptov (south). If the weather is bad, you can consider continuing by the main road. It goes even higher, you won’t be protected from rain, but the road is easier (100% good asphalt though a state road, too).
Attention! Please see the next highlight now. The route takes you through the beautiful Kvačanská Valley but to visit the mills you need to do a detour just after leaving Huty village, when entering the narrow valley (the detour is not on the tour).
