The granite quarry was closed in the 1960s. In the upper part there is a small lake in front of the steep break wall. The quarry is included in the list of geotopes for the Schwandorf district and is classified as "significant". The geotope number 376G007 is recorded in the Bavarian Environmental Atlas. An idyllic and tranquil place in the middle of the forest. The echo echoes beautifully from the wall.
