The elegant, lively town of Salò is sheltered in a narrow bay on the south-western side of Lake Garda. Behind the very long, magnificent promenade stretches the old town with a narrow pedestrian zone and many small boutiques of well-known Italian designers. Numerous cozy restaurants serve, among other things, excellent fish specialties.
