The tsunami museum itself is a garage with a few laminated pictures in memory of this terrible event.
For the memorial wall in the nearby fishing village of Nam Khem, relatives could design a tile for each victim, which was embedded in the wall.

Further south, about 20km from Khao Lak, there is another tsunami museum. The name is Ban Nam Khem Tsunami Museum in Bang Muang.
