Volcano feeling of the finest. Tips for the tour: enough water and sturdy shoes. I would definitely recommend a guide, the orientation in the Valley of desolation is really hard!

Hike in good weather with a certified guide. (90 US dollars). Very rugged to descend (and therefore ascend) the Valley of Desolation. 59 and 65 years old average walkers. Done in 3h30 to go up and 3h to go down. Start very early in the morning.
