Vannes is one of those Breton towns which, having no strategic value during the Second World War, was not bombed. The cities of Lorient and Brest, on the other hand, were largely destroyed. As a result, Vannes has kept all its rich and varied architecture.
The marina is located at the gates of the old town, which is accessed via the Saint-Vincent gate. The Château de l'Hermine, incorporated into the city walls, was one of the residences of the Dukes of Brittany. It now belongs to the municipality and rooms can be rented from the town hall for all events.

A lot of beautiful old buildings with half-timbered houses are still preserved here. You could easily spend several days strolling around this city and always discovering something new.
