Hiking Highlight
A really nice path with a great landscape, really recommended. In early summer, however, there was hardly any water in it. We even saw storks there. Otherwise there are several different species of ducks and geese, gray herons, dragonflies and many other animals to watch such as woodpeckers, frogs and even grass snakes. There is also a nice elevation from which you can observe all the water birds. In addition, there are many benches around the Black Water to relax and enjoy.
From here you can also take a great lap to the Diersfort forest with its game reserve and moor puddle and back again.

Very nice loop around the lake.
There is a lot to see from every angle.
Regardless of whether there are numerous animals or the information boards.

The starting point and destination of this tour is the Waldhotel Tannenhäuschen. The tour runs for about five km on the Hohe-Mark-Steig. The highlight is the black water. This pond feeds on precipitation alone. It has neither a natural inflow nor outflow. A clay "bowl" prevents the water from seeping away.
