A really nice path with a great landscape, really recommended. In early summer, however, there was hardly any water in it. We even saw storks there. Otherwise there are several different species of ducks and geese, gray herons, dragonflies and many other animals to watch such as woodpeckers, frogs and even grass snakes. There is also a nice elevation from which you can observe all the water birds. In addition, there are many benches around the Black Water to relax and enjoy.
From here you can also take a great lap to the Diersfort forest with its game reserve and moor puddle and back again.

Very nice loop around the lake.
There is a lot to see from every angle.
Regardless of whether there are numerous animals or the information boards.

Beautiful pond in the Diersford forest with a beautiful, but sandy circular path (not well suited for bicycles and prams)

Nice little lake with numerous animals and informative information boards.
The circular route is wonderfully guided, but sometimes not really suitable for bicycles and prams.

Schwarzes Wasser hiking trail - exploring the extraordinary heather pond in the Diersfordt Forest.
"... In the middle of the local recreation area Diersfordter Wald lies the Heideweiher" Schwarzes Wasser "- a hidden gem and the oldest nature reserve in Wesel comes about through the humic substances of the bog vegetation.
The nature adventure trail (approx. 2 km) around the water offers wonderful views and allows you to observe impressive flora and fauna. Information boards along the way provide insights into the diversity of flora and fauna. ... "

  • Hohe-Mark-Steig-24

The starting point and destination of this tour is the Waldhotel Tannenhäuschen. The tour runs for about five km on the Hohe-Mark-Steig. The highlight is the black water. This pond feeds on precipitation alone. It has neither a natural inflow nor outflow. A clay "bowl" prevents the water from seeping away.
