Hiking

The drainage created wet meadows and is mowed in late summer. This species-rich biotope can be preserved with this gentle use. In addition to numerous spiders, dragonflies and beetles, this wet meadow also offers ideal conditions for butterflies.

Hiking

The Schleusenwiese is station 2 "Diversity - blooming wet meadow" and belongs to the approx. 12 km long moor adventure trail around the Roofensee with its 5 stations. The Schleusenwiese is one of the silting bogs made usable by humans. Here in August we saw many flowering plants and animals, such as lizards, grasshoppers, dragonflies, butterflies and bumblebees.
