In terms of area, Jerischke with its districts of Teichhäuser, Pusack, Zelz and Bahren is the largest town in the official area with the territorial borders in the south with the Free State of Saxony, in the east with the Republic of Poland and in the north with the city of Forst (Lausitz). 1532 Jerischke was first mentioned as Jerischkow. It was originally a vassal estate of the Forst-Pförten lordship. Until 1928 the place was divided into a village and a manor. The manor house from the 18th century with the adjoining park is worth seeing. A visit to the Muskau Arch Information Center, which opened in 2004, provides more information on this topic. It is located on the grounds of the nationally known country school home. From there you can see the Wolfs Hügel vineyard of the Marbach family, which was planted in 2008. The vineyard in an idyllic location delivers very good, naturally matured wines. Source:
