Hello, this is not a racing bike highlight because you cannot ride a racing bike here.
Located above Quentel on a "mountain" ridge on the Hessisch Lichtenenau line towards Söhrewald. This is where the Grimmsteig runs, an 80km circuit through Söhrewald, Kaufunger Wald over the Meißner.

The so-called "Swedish crosses" are memorial crosses in memory of people killed as victims of the troops who roamed the country and often marauded (plundered) during those warlike times (first half of the 17th century). In the strictest sense of the word definition, however, they are not "atonement crosses" because such crosses were to be erected by the perpetrators - as part of the atonement (penance) for their crime - whereas memorial crosses were erected by people from the victim's immediate environment (often family members, possibly friends or neighbors).

A beautiful resting place with a historic core:The "Swedish Cross" is a medieval sandstone cross. It stands on the old footpath from Quentel through the mountain forest to St. Ottilien, known as the "Kreuzweg" (Way of the Cross). It originally stood about 50 meters further east at the end of the sunken road and was moved to its current location in 1911.
