Explanation:
The Oosterschelde was originally a river estuary that changed into a shallow estuary due to the construction of the Delta Works in 1986: kilometers of salt water, almost a third of which dries up at low tide. In 2002, this nature reserve was given the status of National Park - the largest in the Netherlands.
