Hiking
The name Mammoth Cave was chosen by the explorers because of the enormous dimensions of the underground rooms and passages in this cave system. More than 70 kilometers of these corridors have currently been explored, almost one kilometer of which can be hiked through on the guided tours. The entire cave system that has been explored so far is reproduced in the museum near the Schönbergalm.

A cave worth seeing!
It's very large and is still being explored - definitely worth a visit! Warm clothing and sturdy shoes required - easy to reach even in bad weather :)
