Location: Sobrado, Interior, A Coruña, Galicia, Spain
Large complex that reached its peak in the s. XV and XVI. Abandoned in the last century, it was reoccupied and restored at the end of the 1950s. The current church is Baroque, from the 17th century. The Madalena and Rosario chapels stand out, as well as the Renaissance sacristy (the work of Juan de Herrera). . The three cloisters, the hostelry, the processions and the large one, the chapter house, its spectacular kitchen and dining room, complete the main rooms.

Complete monastic complex developed since the 15th century with three cloisters, that of the inn, the chapter house, kitchen and dining room. Definitely worth seeing!

The monastery and the attached church in Sobrado are among the most impressive on the Camino del Norte. The monastery was founded around the year one thousand and houses two impressive cloisters. The church with its ornate façade was built in the 17th century. Here you can find a hostel for pilgrims and stay overnight.
