A place steeped in history. A widely used trade route ran here until 1834. Leipziger Straße was a class 1 street that ran around 90 kilometers through Lower Hesse. In addition to the lively trade, the location of a gallows was also here. In their times, the gallows were mainly at important crossroads to show in a deterrent way that the respective ruler guaranteed safe roads.
