The Kupferstrang is a tributary of the Innerste in Hildesheim. Originally it was an arm created by splitting of the river Innerste, which in 1311 became the northern ditch of the dam city and together with Innerste, Trillke and Blanke brooks the city Hildesheim enclosed.
