This place of memory located on the heights of Arromanches has a triple advantage: you first benefit from a unique view of the ocean and what remains of the artificial port built by the Allies. You can then stroll along a path among realistic statues narrating this part of history. Finally, the visit ends with the 360-degree museum which offers a moving screening of a film. The latter relates through images the origin and progress of the Second World War. This film grabs you by the guts and you leave the screening moved. A very good introduction.
