The Schwarzatal Valley is actually known for its erosion-caused scree slopes. Here, halfway between the Schwarzatal Valley and Höchenschwand, a similar scene emerges at first glance, but the enormous size of the boulders makes it particularly impressive. The glacial moraine, however, dates back to the glaciers of the Würm glaciation. The ice masses, with their tremendous power, left behind a sea of rocks here.
