Ristimägi (Hill of Crosses) is a reminder of the deportation of the Swedes from Reigi. Catherine the Great signed a decree that the Swedes should settle south of Ukraine. On August 20, 1781, the Swedes gathered for the Last Supper in this place before their departure. Everyone erected a cross and said goodbye to the place that had been home to them for a good 400 years. Puuuuuh
