Lake Scaffaiolo is an extremely worthwhile destination for hikes.
The refuge is right on the edge and offers a great opportunity to stop off. There are lots of local things like the typical crostsine with Nutella or mirtilli (blueberries) and warm food (we didn't try it, we were already up there on our bikes at 10:30).
