The Plattner Hof is a 600-year-old farm that was first mentioned in documents in 1406. It is a rare type of farm that combines the living quarters and the business part. The Gramm family of merchants from Bolzano painstakingly renovated the beautiful farm and converted it into a museum. Since 1991, the history and development of beekeeping has been shown here in idyllic surroundings using old objects, including beehives, honey extractors and wax presses. In the open-air area with the magnificent farm garden, the educational trail with its historical beehives and interesting information takes you to the Ambrosius Hill, a very special vantage point for a short rest.

In addition to the open-air area, the historical rooms of the Plattner Hof await you inside, with the hallway and the courtroom, the smoke kitchen and the cozy wooden parlor. The excursion is rounded off with a visit to the shop: South Tyrolean honey, jams, flower pollen or beeswax soaps are ideal as souvenirs.
