Even if the water is a bit cloudier than in the Caribbean due to the natural moorland, the water quality of the Timmeler Meer is so good that anglers mainly fish pike and zander. The main beach is around 4000 square meters and is guarded during the season. A dog beach at the Timmeler Meer is specially fenced off. In the area of the beach sauna there is also a nudist beach, which invites you to sunbathe naked. You can rent kayaks and canoes at the paddle and pedal station, right next to the beach cafe. Many holiday homes on the Timmeler Meer also offer motorboats, rowing boats, sailing boats or surfboards. Alternatively, you can also rent motorized charter boats and pedal boats in the Timmeler harbor. Here you can find the prices for renting pedal boats and motorboats. Sailing on the Timmeler Meer is possible with a mast height of up to approx. 10m. There are many ways to discover East Frisia from the water. If you bring your own boat, you can discover the nature around the Fehntjer Tief and the Timmeler Meer without limits.
