On July 22, 2016, in broad daylight, lightning struck a large oak tree in front of the farm of a Halen family. It was only fortunate that no one was injured as a result of this event, so an agricultural vehicle probably drove past the spot at the moment of the impact. The owners of the tree and the property had the dates of the event written on the impressively maltreated trunk and left the remains of the tree as a reminder. According to reports, not everyone likes it, but it is an impressive natural monument to illustrate the forces at work. A new oak tree has been planted right next to the weathered trunk - a few meters in front of it there is a cozy seating area that has been lovingly built and cared for by the family who own it.
