Between Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore, on the Mergozzolo mountain range, the Agogna torrent originates. Here, in the Pezzasco area, it is still in its initial stretch, but despite having a limited flow rate, with its 140 kilometers of length it is one of the longest waterways in Lombardy and Piedmont and flows directly into the Po.
