I don't know what exactly was loaded here earlier, but apparently it was a lot, because this tower is pretty big. And high, which is why climbers like to use it. Instead, you can ride down nicely on the gravel bike. The wide road, which later becomes a gravel road, gives the whole thing an adventurous industrial charm.

All the tailings that were piled up on this heap were brought in by freight trains from several mines. The sloping playground equipment in the Aktiv Linearpark represents (extended mentally) the ribbon bridge to the upper tower inlet. Large dump trucks were loaded below in the tower passage, which then drove up the road to the dump and dumped the material there. On the southern panorama path around the heap, you can still see the very steep road leading up under the lattice bridge. That was several thousand tons every working day.
