Laucha (Hörsel, Gotha district)

Laucha is a district of the rural community of Hörsel in the northwest of the Thuringian district of Gotha.
The village is located on the Laucha river of the same name on a flat, south-facing bulge in the Hörseltal.
The total area of the Laucha district is 665 hectares.
The place name Laucha was formed in connection with the name of the water as a derivation from the Old High German louh - leek.
