The Cima Coldai is the seldom climbed northern cornerstone of the Civetta massif and the mountain hut of the Rifugio Sonino al Coldai. The climb on the summit rock is exposed, sloping and unsecured, so the summit should not be visited too often.

The summit, together with the nearby Cima Ovest di Coldai, represents the northern buttress of the Civetta group between the Agordina and Zoldo valleys. The glimpse of the underlying Coldai Lake and the great western face of the Civetta is fabulous, which impresses with its size and verticality. The 360 ° panorama extends to the Pale di San Martino, the Marmolada, the Sella, the Tofane and many other Dolomite groups.
