It is an area that has no precise boundaries and limits, but roughly includes the area bounded to the south by the road that connects the piazzale dell'Uccelliera to the Foce di Pianza, to the east from Mount Borla, to the north from the valley of I Pozzi and to the west from the Acquasparta square. Often, however, strictly speaking, the expression Campocecina means the vast central plain with its meadows and its woods. The woods are mainly made up of beech and black pine forests, the latter being the result of reforestation work started in the 1950s.
