The ascent to Alto de Erro from Erro is barely three kilometers and only 142 meters of difference in level, but it has some 11% inclines that will make you suffer a bit if you come with tired legs from San Juan de Pie de Puerto. But it is worth it because at the top a spectacular panoramic view of the Erro and Esteribar valleys awaits you. In the Alto, a small bar with tables and chairs is usually open to rest and enjoy the views before starting the descent towards Zubiri.
