Starting from Bonneval sur Arc (south side) fill up with water at the fountains of this magnificent mountain village. The climb is very trying, you have to make the most of the two flats at 1/3 and 2/3 to catch your breath because from the "snow bridge" fatigue and altitude are felt for the last 3 kilometers.

Rapid descent in the direction of Bonneval sur Arc from the highest official pass in France, you can climb a little higher at the Col de la Bonette, but since it is an additional loop there, it is not officially valid

Up on the Iseran it can be very cold even in summer. A temperature difference of 15 degrees to the valley can happen, so take a thin jacket with you. Fantastic mountain and ascent.
