The ruins of Lichtenstein Castle are located on a hill in the karst area on the southwestern edge of the Harz Mountains, near Förste, a district of Osterode. Of the remnants of the surrounding wall, apart from several small remains, there is also a piece of considerable height and width, made of strong alabaster blocks. In August 2019, the hiking stamp box of the Harz hiking pin is located here, you can then stamp it digitally in the APP
