The Levada Caldeirão Verde is an impressive work of art created in the 18th century. It begins in the main river bed of the Caldeirão Verde and crosses rugged slopes and mountains to transport the water that runs from the highest peaks of the island of Madeira to the valley. There it is used to irrigate the agricultural fields of the municipality of Faial. There are waterfalls, tunnels and subtropical nature.

Hiking
An extremely varied and green Levadaweg. Unfortunately, we started too late and therefore could not go to the end. As varied as this we felt no other Levada way. Most of them start at the Queimadas car park but there is one less frequented in Pico das Pedras. The path is extended by one piece but that's worth it.
