The first beer fountain in the world. Fontana beer green gold is a gift to the hop plant heritage of the Lower Savinja valley and Žalec, which is the center of hop production in our country. Slovenia is also the fifth largest producer of hops in the world, while hops are the "seasoning" that gives beer a taste and a recognizable note.
Fontana beer Green gold is set in a city park, in the city center, next to the market. The base for the architectural design of the fountain is a symbolic honeybee, which is expressed in two semicircles or two fountains, one beer and others, water. The semi-circles are clad in a copper lace, which symbolizes the foam on the beer.
