If you want to walk around the city on the city wall, you will find the stairs at one of the gates. On top of the preserved city wall from 1327, an approximately 2.7 km long circular path leads around the old town of Nördlingen. The city gates are named after the places outside the city. The towns of Baldingen, Löpsingen, Deiningen and Reimlingen have given four gates their names. Only the fifth, the Berger Tor, is not named after a place, but after a mountain, the Friedhofsberg.
