Hiking

The old, barricaded ammunition bunkers of the Bundeswehr are something special. When you see the relics from the Cold War days rotting away. In the area of the old access gates, the fences have been torn down and so anyone can easily get inside past the barriers. The spruce trees that were planted all over the bunkers for camouflage are mostly dead and so the whole thing looks a bit darker.

When I was there, a fence denied access to the former camp.
Continue towards Wetzlar you go over a former military exercise area. Partly, you can still see traces of tank over the hills.
In Magdalenenhausen behind a fence is still the Panzerwaschanlage.
