The sacred building was probably built in the 13th century under the influence of the Lehnin monastery. The masonry work of the core building, which was carried out comparatively carefully, was probably carried out with the support of the Cistercians who lived there. In the 14th/15th A west tower was added to the building in the 19th century. In 1542 the church patronage was held by Otto and Albrecht von Krummensee. A visitation took place that year at which a chalice was mentioned. The existence of two tin candlesticks, a chasuble and a missal have been handed down from the year 1600. In the middle of the 19th century the parish grew rapidly, so that in 1866 craftsmen added two arms of the cross to the long sides of the nave. At the same time, the interior was also redesigned. In 1935 a figure of Moses from the 17th century was taken to the Strausberg local history museum. It can no longer be found after the end of the Second World War. In 1942, as part of a metal donation from the German people, the parish had to give up the two smaller of the three medieval bells with a diameter of 70 and 74 cm. A restoration was carried out between 1996 and 1998, during which a stencil painting in the arms of the cross was uncovered.

The village church Krummensee is a fortified church from the 13th century. The nave is built with granite blocks, the rectangular western transept made of unhewn field stones was added in the 14th or 15th century. In 1866 the nave was expanded with a brick extension. Between 1996 and 1998 the church building was renovated with donations, the original interior was restored and the churchyard wall was renewed.
