Fragment of the city walls of Choszczno. The walls were built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, and in the 18th century they were partially demolished. In this place there was a Stone Gate reinforced with a massive brick tower, today called the Barbican.

The Barbican in Choszczno is a Gothic tower that was part of the outer defenses of the former Stone Gate, built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. It was part of the city's defensive system, which included walls, moats, towers, and watchtowers. The Barbican was severely damaged during World War II and subsequently rebuilt in 1961. Today, it is one of the best-preserved symbols of medieval Choszczno.
