A real Lost Place: In the days when the ferry was still loading trains, this train station was an important terminus for steam locomotives on the Berlin-Copenhagen route. The association takes care of it touchingly, but can hardly maintain this huge facility. So: a journey back at least 50 years with vehicles, workshops and buildings from that time. Everything to touch and climb in. You stay a good 2 hours without getting bored.

The Gedser-Remise is a railway museum in former railway buildings at the ferry port. Regular operations on the route to the north no longer exist, and on some days excursion services are offered by rail bus. Open daily between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Info here: gedserremise.dk

The old engine shed is a real lost place. An old but large shed full of old vehicles tells of the glorious days when Gedser was still on the main route between Berlin and Copenhagen. You can climb into the vehicles and see old, unadorned workshops. The club takes good care of you. We were there without any expectations, stayed for more than two hours and left with great amazement. Recommended!
