In 1973 it was incorporated into the town of Breisach. As early as the 8th/7th century BC, a settlement from the middle Hallstatt period existed on the Tuniberg (Niederrimsingen district), and a settlement from the La Tène period (5th-1st century BC) was found in the Almendmatten/Langmatten area.
