In and around the Ternell house, more is offered than you might think.
On the one hand, the house is self-sufficient in energy, on the other hand, there are many other things on offer besides the cafe / restaurant, e.g. nature animations especially for kids, training in wild herbs and beekeeping and much more. In the winter months you can also rent cross-country skis and choose from 3 different trails.

Haus Ternell was a former forest and customs house and is now a nature information center belonging to Eupen on the edge of the High Fens. The nature center is the ideal starting point for hikes into the Hohe Venn or the Weser dam. In addition to the Tourist Info, you will find a small museum, a children's playground, an herb garden and the "Werner Thoma Hut", which can be rented for company or family celebrations.
Don't forget the restaurant "Ternell's"!
Here the guest is served with fresh and regional products!
We had extensive breakfast here before our hike. The bread baked especially for Ternell's was a dream! Simply delicious!

Two sweets in the morning, there was a very delicious breakfast with homemade bread, scrambled eggs, used. Vegetables, sausages, cheese, etc. All products exclusively from the region. I can only recommend it. In the afternoon there was delicious apple pie. 🤤
