Cascada de Colores

One of the biggest tourist attractions of the Caldera de Taburiente national park, which, however, became so accidentally, since initially it was just a dam to contain the waters of the Caldera. But the iron colored its walls and together with the numerous algae that also cover them, gave rise to this very special place.

A beautiful hike through a beautiful landscape. You should plan a whole day and have time for the most beautiful places.

Recognizable on most postcard motifs, the Cascada de colores is in reality even more impressive. Funny, too, that one does not really notice that the wall is created artificially (a la "forest for the trees").
Best of all, the Cascade de Colores is the destination of a very nice walk through a Barranco.
