The Nordoe Inland Dunes (or often simply called "Nordoer Heide") are a nature reserve and popular recreation area for Itzehoe and the surrounding area.
This is a former military training area of the nearby former Nordoe barracks, on whose site a residential area has now been developed. You can still find various remnants of the former military use here.
The bridge leads over the freight line to Lägerdorf.
