Excursion to the port in Varel on the Jade Bay - restaurants, hotels, holiday apartments
Varel is a small town in the south of the Jade Bay and belongs to the district of Friesland.
The Vareler Hafen is parallel to the Vareler Binnentief and is connected to the Jadebusen and thus to the North Sea coast via the Vareler lock. Not far from the lock, the Jade River also flows into the North Sea. At the same time, the port also connects the city of Varel with the Jade Bay.
