We can state with reasonable certainty that the chapel group 'De Viertien Kapellekens' was founded in 1860 by farmer Petrus Verhaert, who had mowed in his leg with a scythe in the mid-19th century. He was advised to hang the injured leg regularly in the cesspool so that it would heal properly. During the healing process, Peter promised that – if he could keep his leg – he would build a way of the cross out of gratitude for his healing.

In Mol you have the 15 Kapellekens. Here in Vorselaar in the heart of the Kempen the 14 Kapellekens. One more or less doesn't matter :-) It is a wonderful location in the middle of the Kempen fields and forests where you can relax. The picturesque castle de Borrekens is nearby and should certainly not be missed in your walking route.
