Originally a residential barn dating back to 1475, it was rebuilt in Preunschen, a district of Kirchzell, and now houses a fascinating exhibition on forest history. It shows how the forest has been used since the Middle Ages, from timber harvesting to basket making. The building itself is a masterpiece of medieval half-timbered architecture and is considered the oldest surviving farmhouse in the Bavarian Odenwald Forest.
