East of the Holheim grove rises at the end of a small valley, a natural rock head, which is surrounded by a weak annular wall. The field names Burschlwiesen and Burschlacker as well as the find of some medieval shards at the southern foot of the elevation point to a medieval castle stables. It is mentioned in a description of the Ries in 1778 as "Burgstall, seat of the lords of Holheim". The lords of Holheim are called between 1153 and 1426.
