The abandoned quarry is relatively large at 4 hectares and has a wide range of locations, from extremely dry to rocky to deep, humid soils, due to the typical mix of rocks in Geopark Ries. Because of this diversity and the special animal and plant occurrences the "Lindle" is regarded as ecologically very high quality biotope.
