Unveiled on May 26, 1973, on the anniversary of the Battle of Ostrołęka, which took place during the November Uprising on May 26, 1831.
Józef Bem led the bold attack of the 4th Light Horse Artillery Battery. This made it possible to stop the Russian advance and made it possible for General Skrzynecki's army to retreat against Warsaw. The monument has the form of a bust placed on a high plinth with the inscription: "In tribute to the great Pole - the society of Ostrołęka".
