Created from rubble from the Second World War (Hamm and Horn were particularly heavily bombed). The surface is intentionally uncomfortable to remind us of the horrors of war.

The "rubble bench" was made in 2022 from rubble and debris, from so-called rubble stones, and positioned in Thörls Park. As a seat, it seems to offer a place to rest, but an "uncomfortable" one. Various stone fragments stand out from the rough surface, leaving traces - on the skin as well as in the head.
In Thörls Park, in the post-war years, the rubble of the villas and buildings
from Hamburg's east was collected, crushed, processed and transported out of the city center in lorries.
