Muta is a natural depression between Pohorije, Drava and Kobansko. In the past, the place was characterized by forges and hammer mills. This centuries-old craft is preserved in the Muta Blacksmithing and Firefighting Museum. Among the numerous cultural monuments, the Kienhofen Castle, in which the museum has its place, and the round Church of St. John the Baptist should be mentioned. The neighboring towns of Gortina, Pernice, Sveti Primož and Sveti Jernej nad Muto offer quiet and beautiful walks in idyllic nature in all seasons.
